In the mood to play around, I decided to try out painitng with watercolors on gessoed illustration board. The gesso keeps the paint from absorbing; it dries on the surface, and you can rewet it, rework it, wipe it off, texture it with rags, and PLAY.
I really had a great time with this. I like those shots of intense orange paint. I really like it that you can see the brushstrokes in the gesso- the texture is nice. |
